Tablets, the pinnacle of hope for the future!! Choosing one, is a tab difficult!!

If you have been really observant lately, you must have noticed the hype for devices with a slender rectangular body complemented by a high resolution touchscreen. These devices are known as tablets. A tablet is a compact mobile computer equipped with a well renowned operating system, designed for entertainment, productivity, portability and of course, uncompromised internet capabilities. These devices were created so as to combine features of a personal computer with that of various smartphones in today’s technological markets, allowing it’s users to be productive, enjoying high definition media (1080p in mind ), and profound internet capabilities controlled by the simplest touch, whilst on the move .
However, purchasing a tablet can be a very difficult task to achieve, even for the techies out there. For this reason being, this article will aid you the consumers in choosing a tablet which is suitable for you and synchronizes well with your personas and demeanours.
Firstly, when purchasing a tablet you should be familiar with the various operating systems which these tablets are operating with. We shall begin with the three most robust and ubiquitous operating systems which are currently available in today’s technological atmosphere. They are, in no particular order:
Google’s Android OS

Apple’s IOS

Blackberry’s Tablet OS (QNX)

GOOGLE ANDROID OS
Firstly, the Google Android OS is one of the most prominent and dignified operating system to ever be invented. It gains utter praise since it’s manufacturer is Google, also the creator of the most popular search engine and varying software used to enhance everyday forms of technology and communication. Despite being created and developed by Google, this operating system has features so profound that it has gained the trust and respect of it’s many users.
The highlights of this OS are it’s colourful and attractive user interface, enabling users to obtain a majestic experience while utilizing their device, increasing overall performance. Applications can be found as easy as 1+1, since there are multiple windows portraying your desired applications, all is required is a ‘swish’ of the finger, and you’re on your way. Also, this OS has one of the most eminent web browsers ever constructed for a mobile device, it’s name, the Steel browser. As the name suggests, the browser is strong and stable, having features such as a clear interface, smooth navigation, and hold for applause, the infamous adobe flash player 10.x, allowing users to enjoy an uncompromised desktop experience whilst on the go. Adobe is one of the most imperative software available on the internet, considering the fact that almost 100% of websites today has some sort of flash content implemented within them, whether for navigation or entertainment. Flash has been non-existent on a copious amount of mobile devices, most tablets included, as such, any device which has the ability to play flash content, is considered to be an elite athlete. Please note, that not all devices powered by the Android OS supports the flash player 10.x, only devices running Android 2.2 froyo or higher, combined with sufficient and powerful hardware components are supported. On a further note, another highlight which makes this operating system so desirable is that it’s versatile nature to operate on both mobile phones and tablets. This is very beneficial because it allows developers to create applications and immense games for both types of devices, forming symbiotic relations between phones and tablets, increasing overall usability, entertainment and communication.
The following are some of the latest and most relevant tablets which operates with the Google Android OS
This section will guide you on which android tablet will be best suited for you!!

                                                  APPLE IOS 4.X
Apple, the brilliant creators of the MAC OS available exclusively for their line of computers, the Macintoshes, has once again created a majestic masterpiece, the apple IOS. This is a mobile platform available only for mobile devices produced by Apple, such as, the infamous Apple iPhone series, apple iPod touch, and now the apple ipad series. This operating system may it be any version, has many features which makes it a formidable opponent against the masses. The qualities of this operating system which has made it so powerful and loved by many users are: The Safari web browser, this browser is so capable, that once in motion you’ll forget you are using a mobile browser. The browser has full support for the web standard AJAX, which allows you to navigate appropriately whilst surfing websites with immense data such as emailing websites like mail.google.com and social networks, such as the well popular facebook.com, and yes, you will be able to access the chat application, score for those who are chatter boxes. Another unique feature which will make this OS appealing is the ipod’s touch dramatic and attractive media player. This is an exceptional feature to have on a mobile phone or more specifically as it relates to this article, a tablet. On a further note, the Apple IOS offers unsurpassed speed and accuracy combined with a colourful, attractive and an ineffable user experience when navigating features. All Apple’s touch devices are manufactured with a high resolution capacitive screen, which evidently means that the screen is more responsive because it uses the heat emanating from your fingers or other body part to generate more precise and accurate movements. Thus, by combining a capacitive screen with the IOS, Apple has created devices with a profound user experience matched with overall speed. In addition, since this article has emphasized on some of the highlights of the Apple IOS, now it shall highlight some of the features of the revamped 4.x series.
These include: Elegant home screen wallpapers with folder organizations of these home scree icons, increasing management and overall appeal, increased multitasking and fast application switching, Bluetooth keyboard pairing support increasing the productivity of the tablet, consolidated email capabilities bringing fought to enhanced communication, enhanced web browser with increased usability, speed, and performance, the excellent i-book feature which allows one to read electronic books on their tablets either at home or out on the prowl, and many more.

In addition, akin to the Google’s Android OS, Apple’s IOS software has an endless supply of applications and games being developed since it is available on mobiles phones, ipod touches and ipad tablets. As such, this will allow consumers to enjoy the vast application network, and allowing these devices to share similar characteristics, enabling overall communication and support. Since the IOS 4 software is exclusively available to Apple’s devices, here are some screenshots to give you a taste of an apple in it’s fourth cycle.

Majestic isn’t it?
Contradictory however, the one gripe which this Operating System fails to deliver, is the ability to play flash content both independently and within the Safari web browser. Flash is transparent within the IOS software mainly because of Steve’s Job “The CEO and Co-founder of Apple” adamant decision about not porting Flash to the IOS software. One must respect his decision since he is a dignified and wise person, and knows what is best for his organization and the products they produce. Albeit, flash would be an awesome feature to have on an Apple device, just think about the possibilities, truly intoxicating.

Blackberry tablet OS (QNX)/Blackberry Playbook
During the years, Research In Motion (RIM) has provided us with quality mobile devices equipped with exponential features which enabled many of us to communicate without barriers; these devices are given the name Blackberry. Blackberry mobile phones came equipped with the Blackberry operating system, which enabled consumers to both work and play all within ease. In todays technological ambiance there has been an increase in demand for the advanced devices, AKA tablets. As such, being a skilled and technological organisation, (RIM) was not going to be left into the dust by the competition, for this reason being, they invented their first tablet, the Blackberry Playbook, running on their newly created OS, dubbed the Blackberry tablet OS (QNX). The renowned Blackberry playbook boasts of style, , robust hardware mechanisms, and all the features of the Blackberry QNX software. During the development of this Operating System, Adobe had a helpful hand to play by incorporating it’s technologies into the operating system. Do you know what that means? Oh yes, that’s right adobe flash player support, 10.1 and above. This is a first for any blackberry device, and as such, is something that is held sacred. The adobe flash player allows the OS to have powerful and elegant graphics increasing overall experience, and the ability to view flash content directly into the browser. This opens a gateway of possibilities since the preinstalled web browser has full support for all the web standards most importantly, AJAX, and is highly capable of any task, since Adobe flash player is included users can view any website with a desktop like experience, navigate at free will, play flash based games, and watch movies and clips all within the browser, from the comfort of their Blackberry playbook. Also, The OS comes equipped with one of the most colourful, attractive and exploding visuals on any tablet, the graphics are so sharp, that you will be cut. If you are a media junky both average and High Definition, this tablet will do the job for you, it comes with a 7.0’’ 600x1024 pixel capacitive touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording, 1GHz A9 dual core processor with PowerVR SGX540 GPU, TI OMAP 4430 chipset, adequate video player with extensive codec support thanks to Blackberry tablet OS thus,  you will receive an uncompromised and trouble free media bonanza. In addition, since the Blackberry Playbook combined with it’s Blackberry tablet OS is relatively new, there are a copious amount of updates constantly being made to maintain stability and usability, also the applications being made are proliferating as we speak so you can get the best out of your device.  Overall, this Blackberry device gives you the variety of work, play and excellent media capabilities, all within a small package, and surprisingly at a reasonable price. This device will be suitable for “EVERYONE” except children under eight of course. Research In Motion has really outdone themselves with this one, it’s one for the records.
The following are more data as it pertains to the blackberry playbook and it’s Blackberry Tablet Software

Amazing and fun user interface with sharp colours!! Appealing to all audiences, and is updatable. So, is this the tab for you?
A word of caution, this tablet does not have an expandable memory card clot, thus there is no way of increasing the memory of this device. Also, it cannot make calls, send and receive text messages, or use GSM data mobile networks.

We really do hope that this article will aid in you in your quest of finding a tablet which is suitable for your personality and many likes. In closing, we would just like to give you some extra pointers when purchasing tablets since there are a copious amount available.
·         Always read reviews and user experiences about the tablet which you wish to purchase.
·         Always choose tablets who has a high reputation and quality features.
·         Always choose tablets which reflect your needs and personal interests.
·         Always choose tablets that were created by a well-known and trusted manufacturer.
·         Do not by a tablet if you cannot afford it at the moment due to insufficient income. Therefore, never allow your wants to negatively influence your needs.
·         Always choose a tablet which has a highly responsive touch-screen, mainly because a weak or unresponsive touch-screen can utterly mar the performance of your device to a high degree. Currently, capacitive touchscreens are recommended due to the fact that they contain electrodes which senses the heat emanating from your fingertips or any part of your body to generate movement. The littlest flick of the finger can generate fast and prominent movements.
·         Always stay updated with the latest information about your tablet, so you will always be prepared to update your device or amend if any problems arise.
·         Enjoy your device, and ensure maximum utility.

                          Hoped you enjoyed and learned!!
Special Thanks must go out to Akinde Carew!!
